Tortoise Goes Missing

Some people in the neighbourhood were not very fond of the tortoise, as it would often roam around in people's yards and refuse to move when they tried to shoo it away. One day, the tortoise went missing and everyone in the neighbourhood came together to try and find it.

After a few days of searching, someone finally found the tortoise hiding in a bush near their house. The tortoise was very happy to be found and everyone in the neighbourhood was relieved.

Tortoise Found After Week in Woods

The tortoise that went missing a week ago from a family's yard in Spring Hill, Tennessee, was found yesterday morning by the homeowner. The tortoise, named "Tootsie," had wandered about a mile from her home and was found in the woods near the intersection of Achor Road and Mayo Road.

The family is grateful to have Tootsie back and said she seems to be OK. Her shell appears to have scrapes but no other injuries. "We are just so happy she is safe," said Denise McManus, the homeowner.

When Tootsie first went missing, the family searched for her frantically, putting up posters and putting out food and water in their yard. They were encouraged when someone reported seeing a tortoise matching Tootsie's description in the area where she was eventually found.

For anyone who may have a pet tortoise that has gone missing, here are some tips on how to find them:

-Put up posters in the area where your pet was last seen. Include a picture of your tortoise and information on how to contact you if it is found.

-Check with local veterinarians and shelters to see if anyone has turned in your tortoise.

-Place food and water in your yard or wherever you think your tortoise may be hiding. This will help attract your tortoise back home.

-Create a homemade trail camera using an old webcam or phone camera. Leave this setup near where your tortoise was last seen and check it regularly for any signs of your pet.

Police Seek Owner of Tortoise Found Wandering Streets

According to the police department in Memphis, TN, a large tortoise was found on a busy street in the city and officers are trying to find the owner. The tortoise is believed to be about 4 feet long and weighs around 100 pounds.

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) shared a photo of the tortoise on their Twitter page on Monday, June 3 and asked for help locating the owner. "If this is your pet please call MPD and we will return it safely! If you see this Tortoise please do not touch it," they wrote.

Since being posted, the tweet has been retweeted over 1,000 times and has thousands of likes. Some people online joked that the tortoise was just lost on its way to a nearby pool while others said that it was probably looking for food.

"I hope someone comes forward soon – those things can get real big ya know!" one Twitter user wrote.

While it's not clear how exactly the tortoise made its way onto a busy street in Memphis, it's likely that it either escaped from its home or was abandoned by its previous owner. Large tortoises like this can be difficult to care for and require a lot of space, so owners should do their research before bringing one into their home.

If you live in Memphis and believe that the tortoise is your pet, please contact MPD at (901) 636-4239.

Tortoise Returns Home After Mysterious Disappearance

For the past two years, the tortoise named Snappy has been missing from his enclosure in the back yard of the Hendersons' home. The Hendersons had all but given up hope of ever seeing their pet tortoise again, until last week when Snappy miraculously reappeared in his enclosure.

The family was overjoyed to have their pet back and were eager to hear what he had been up to during his mysterious disappearance. Snappy explained that he had been exploring the great wide world and had even made a few friends along the way. He recounted his adventures of scaling mountains and swimming through rivers, and said he was glad to be back home with his family.

While they were glad to have Snappy back, the Hendersons couldn't help but wonder what could have happened if he hadn't returned home safely. They reminded him that he needed to stay close to home from now on, and Snappy agreed that he would try his best to follow their instructions.
